Is that D'Lilac swatch for real, or have you been playing with MS Paint?

I am unmoved by these lipsticks.

Both swatches are with two/three swipes of the lipstick, straight from the tube.

As you can tell by the shiny face and unruly eyebrows, the only editing that's been done on these pictures is to add watermarks.

Oh my. That D' Lilac is hideous, looks like correction fluid. The other one is pretty but I hate when lipsticks stain!

For me, the orange shade could definitely work as part of an editorial look. I wore bright lips like this in my last video, when I was trying to emulate the mad hatter's eyebrows on my lips instead. Before my last look, I have been for some reason drawn to orange lips for youtube looks everytime, admittedly not all the time as bright as this.

I think as a general rule, those bright lipsticks can be worn but they need work, lots of makeup around it, as part of a whole look. I dont think I could ever wear the lilac one, (I would freak out with my yellow teeth) but they would work with a gradient of black or dark purple lip liner around them.

One thing we need to remember: Those would only work as part of a whole look and they look a bit cack and shocking because you are just swatching them, and kind enough to show the whole face to give us a better idea of what it would look like that. People, you'll have to remember this is not a showcase of a look, it's just a swatch of a lipstick on a nearly bare face of makeup.

To be honest D'Lilac only looks good one really light cool toned skin or very dark skin. It looks amazing on black skin: I have the hugest lemming for airborne unicorn! Please do a lip swatch of that at some point ^^

The D'Lilac has left me speechless, and not in a great way. Brave to post the picture!

    Oh these are very "special".

I giggled hehe.. you're so brave posting them pics. I think the whole shades are hideous and I wont be purchasing any.

    Hmmm…not sure D'Lilac is your colour….

Finally managed to return my lips to their natural shade by around lunchtime yesterday!

oh my lord! Well you are brave to post the pictures hehe. I still like the orange lippy though, it has scope if worn sheer.

I have to agree with Jo when she say's all the shades look hideouse.
I mean seriously, what grown woman is really going to wear those out on an everyday basis. There far more suited to one off looks, but then would you really want to pay that much for something that you only wear a few times?

    great swatches.

I for one loathe the lipsticks.. i feel that for £14 they should be a lot better!! lol I had a total explosion/mini rant about them on Lipglossiping's blog this morning.

Love the fact you posted those last 2 pics!!!! Deffo not for a romantic dinner out 😉

Dare you to go out the street with a "Kiss Me Quick" hat on and that lilac lipstick…

Hmm. Isn't it weird that the orange one (one of the least likely to succeed in theory) seems to look the best on people?

Can they be sheered out with gloss or are they too thick? Don't know why I'm asking really – lipsticks aren't my thing. Especially these!

You're so brave for posting these 😐 I love me some brights but I would NEVER wear these colours unless they were super fricken sheer.

Not that I would ever buy them, I do not approve of Lime Crime anyway 😛

Not surprisingly, these look ridiculous – on you. Sorry to be blunt, but this line of products is totally unsuitable/ was never intended for someone like you. These colors are trendy and stunning on those of a more appropriate demographic. The original model on the website, Mosh, for instance, as well as many Instagramers. D’lilac looks amazing on Lady Gaga. Giving a product a bad review simply because it doesn’t suit you serves little if any purpose. And for the record, no I’m not a Limecrime associate or apologist. Just felt compelled to point out the obvious. There are thousands of product lines so why not make better choices and select something more appropriate, such as Clarins or Lancôme?

You seriously took the time and energy to write that vicious and pathetic pile of crap on a blog post that is nearly EIGHT YEARS OLD? There’s no actual “review” here much less a “bad” one.

      However:

You’re right on one point though, if I’d written that review today, I’d actually not have bothered with the pictures and written what I really think: that Doe Deere (who I’ve met and spent time with, and was also one of only five U.K. bloggers invited to the official launch of these products) is a vapid plagiarist who put out shitty, low-quality products in cheap, nasty packaging that had no business whatsoever being in a high-end retailer such as SpaceNK.

And, as a prime example of the customers of SpaceNK, the point that these lipsticks look terrible on me is actually THE ENTIRE POINT of this article, as they would also not look good on the rest of SpaceNK’s client base – of whom a good 75% of whom are around my age and social background. If they’re “not intended” for “people like me” then they weren’t intended for anyone else like me, and SpaceNK made a grave error of judgement stocking this shitty brand from a shitty human being. The fact that the lipsticks were withdrawn from sale from the retailer around six months after the launch bears this out.

Thank you for allowing me to get that off my chest. Happy new year!
